Time:2020.03.01

Caka Salt Lake is called "dabuxun nur" by local Mongolians. Local herdsmen believe that there is a smart, gentle and kind goddess, Muyao Luosangma, who is in charge of guarding this lake.

Goddess Muyao Luosangma is third disciple among "five longevity sisters", the disciples of Dharmapala Paldan Lhamo in the Paldan Maso Goddess System in the Tibetan Buddhism, who masters fortune, auspiciousness, longevity and wisdom and salt, reputed as "Holiness of Fortune and Food".

The goddess has a solemn and dignified appearance. She is the guardian angel of Caka Salt Lake. She holds a  feather arrow with a white rod in her right hand, a magical mirror that can see all living things hang in the arrow, a container full of jewelry in her left hand, and built-in treasures such as five treasures, five grains, five herbs and five spices, which symbolizes the protection of this area’s peace and is willing to offer the treasures in the lake to all living beings. The goddess Muyao Luosangma sits like a Tara, standing on the lotus throne. The Caka Salt Lake’s water under the lotus throne is full of ups and downs, surrounded by clouds and waves.

According to legend, that the goddess Muyao Luosangma is kind and smart, and the local herdsmen always ask for help in case of difficulties. The goddess can eliminate the disease, dispel disasters, increase life span and happiness, avoid the plague and save all suffering.
