The Geologic Formation of Caka Salt Lake

The Qinghai Tibet Plateau was once a vast ocean in the late Ice Age. After the great movement of the crust in the early Quaternary, the prototype of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the great lakes on the plateau were formed. The Caka basin was also formed at that time, and then the melting water from the around mountains flowed into the basin to form the lake. It lasted a long time, with little rainfall, the lake water gradually fell, the shallow part around the lake was exposed and formed into a salt beach. The chemicals, especially salt increased day by day, gradually reached saturation, and the Caka Salt Lake formed.
